Jaipur: Of the 260 officials who were issued notice on Tuesday for absenting themselves from election training, 17 have been issued chargesheet by the district election department on Wednesday for boycotting training, shouting slogans and influencing others. The two-day salary of all the show-caused officials would be deducted.“Over 100 have been issued notices stating that they should represent themselves again for training in a date that will be decided. All the 260 government employees have been issued notices and would receive a red remark in their service book. If they say that they are working at the CEO office or are on election duty in any other place, then their notice would be cancelled or waived," said Yadav. "Those who have been given notice, if they have a valid reason to defend themselves, have been asked to explain in seven days.

We have also requested the head of departments that two-day salary of all the officials, who had absented themselves without giving valid reason, may be deducted,” said district election officer (DEO) Jagroop Yadav.The office of the chief electoral officer (CEO) of Rajasthan wrote to Jaipur collector urging it to cancel the duty and training of 42 officials who were already on election duty at the CEO office.District collector and election officer Jagroop Yadav informed if they were already on election duty at the CEO office, their notices would naturally be waived or cancelled.District election officer (DEO) and collector Jagroop Singh Yadav on Tuesday said that show-cause notice has been issued to chief medical and health officer (CMHO) Narottam Sharma for alleged negligence in the supply of food packets to the polling officers at the training centres on MondayThe district election department had also suspended seven persons out of the 260, who had absented themselves from election training without prior information. All the 260 government employees have been issued notices and would receive a red remark in their service book."Those who have been given notice, if they have a valid reason to defend themselves, have been asked to explain in seven days. If they say that they are working at the CEO office or are on election duty in any other place, then their notice would be cancelled or waived," said Yadav."We have also asked the department heads that an adverse entry should be made in their service records only after seven days," he added.Meanwhile, the election duty of Padma Shri award winner and Sarangi player Moinuddin Khan was waived on Wednesday after he requested the district election officer for exemption citing old-age.
