Jaipur: Dust storms followed by mild to moderate showers continued to provide respite from the scorching heat across the state. Churu remained hottest with a maximum temperature of 41.5 degrees Celsius, the Met reports said on Saturday.Attributing the climatic conditions to the active western disturbances, Jaipur Met office said that similar conditions will prevail at the western and northern parts of the state in the next couple of days. Many places in the western Rajasthan likely to get hailstorm and dust storm in the next couple of days.Jaipurities woke up to a pleasant morning as a minimum temperature of 26.0 degrees Celsius was recorded. It was followed by a pleasant afternoon as a maximum temperature of 37.2 degrees Celsius, almost 3 degrees below the normal notch was recorded. Mild dust storm and showers were also witnessed in the outskirts of Jaipur which also made the weather pleasant in the evening.Sheo(Barmer), Sujangarh(Churu) and many places in the western Rajasthan got a rainfall of 10 mm.Churu was followed by Kota where a maximum temperature of 40.6 degrees Celsius, Jaisalmer and Bikaner 40.5 degrees Celsius, Barmer 39.8, Ajmer and Sriganganagar 39.6 degrees Celsius, Pilani 39.2 and a maximum temperature of 38.8 degrees Celsius.In its forecast Jaipur Met office mild to moderate showers will continue in the state for the next couple of days especially in the western Rajasthan.
