Jaipur: Dr Divya Chaudhary, who was allegedly caught conducting an illegal pre-natal sex-determination test on a decoy pregnant woman in Aligarh on October 16, has surrendered before PCPNDT Court, Sikar.During decoy operation, PCPNDT cell of the state had failed to arrest her at that time when some antisocial elements created ruckus which provided opportunity to Dr Chaudhary to flee from the scene."The court has sent her (Dr Chaudhary) on judicial custody," said Naveen Jain, state appropriate authority, PCPNDT.Jain said that PCPNDT cell of the state had conducted decoy operation at Jeevan Super Speciality Hospital and test tube centre, which was 24th inter-state decoy operation conducted by state's PCPNDT cell. In the decoy operation, the PCPNDT sleuths managed to arrest three agents Mahesh, Rinku and Anil. Besides, sonography machine, which was used in decoy operation, was seized in the presence of additional magistrate Aligarh, Ram Swaroop Panday, Jain said.PCPNDT court had issued her arrest warrant on October 30. The PCPNDT cell team in a coordinated effort with UP police conducted raids but all efforts went in vain.Meanwhile, the accused doctor appealed before the high court for interim bail, on which the high court ordered to accused doctor to surrender with 10 days."We received information that there is a doctor in Aligarh, who is involved in sex determination. There are middlemen in Sikar, who brought pregnant women to Aligarh for sex determination. Acting on the information, we planned a decoy operation. We performed the decoy operation successfully, but the doctor escaped," said Raghuveer Singh, PCPNDT cell incharge.He said that now the PCPNDT court, Sikar has sent her to judicial custody till December 6.
