2kg heroin seized near border

JALALABAD: In a joint operation, the counter-intelligence wing of Punjab Police and Border Security Force (BSF) recovered 2kg of heroin and a Pakistani SIM card near the international border on Thursday. According to information, acting on a tip off, a joint team of police and 118 Battalion of BSF launched a search operation in the area of Dona Raja Dina Nath border outpost (BOP) and recovered four packets (500g each) of heroin and a Pakistani SIM card near the fence. The recovered contraband is valued at Rs 10 crore in the international market. A case has been registered.
