Terrorist attack on CRPF team in Budgam, injured soldier dies

In Jammu and Kashmir, militants have attacked a team of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The jawan injured in the attack died during treatment. Security forces have sealed the area after the attack.

The militants targeted the CRPF patrol in Kesarmulla area of Chamora in Budgam district of central Kashmir. During this period, an assistant sub-inspector of the Central Reserve Police was injured. 

A senior police officer said that 117 BN of the CRPF party was attacked by terrorists in Kesarmulla, injuring one CRPF ASI i.e. NU Badole. The terrorists also managed to snatch an AK-47 rifle and a magazine from the ASI before fleeing the spot.

The injured officer was referred to the 92 Base Hospital, where he succumbed to excessive bleeding. Meanwhile, attackers are being searched all over the region.
