Earthquake of Jammu and Kashmir shakes once again, depth reported only 5 Km

Earthquake tremors were felt once again in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday morning. The National Center for Seismology measured 4.2 on the Richter scale.

Earthquake tremors were felt once again in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday morning. The National Center for Seismology measured 4.2 on the Richter scale. The depth of the epicenter of the earthquake that occurred at 10.42 am on Monday morning was just five kilometers below the surface.

Earlier on Saturday, earthquake tremors were felt in the afternoon. Its intensity was measured at 4.8 on the Richter scale by the National Center for Seismology, while the depth of the epicenter was 120 kilometers below the surface.

Before Saturday, there was a 3.7 magnitude earthquake in Gulmarg on Thursday also at 08:19 am. During this time people came out of their homes. Earlier on Tuesday, earthquake tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir. People came out of their homes as soon as the earth moved. 

Even earlier on September 11, mild tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir. The earthquake on the Richter scale was 4.3. Although the tremors were not very fast, but when people felt that he had come out of his house. 

The center of this earthquake was said to be the border of India-Pakistan. The earthquake struck on September 11 at 1.53 pm. Its depth was 10 kilometers below the earth. In terms of earthquake, Jammu and Kashmir falls in sensitive areas.

Kashmir has been wrecked many times before the earthquake. A 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck Kashmir on October 8, 2005. In this, 80 thousand people from India and Pakistan were killed.
