Terrorists from Kashmir Valley are using virtual SIM cards to keep in touch with the bosses sitting in Pakistan. This modern and new technology of communication services has created a big challenge for security agencies. More than 40 such SIMs were used in the Pulwama attack case. This was revealed by the National Investigation Agency in the investigation. Currently, there are reports of many such SIM cards being active in the Kashmir Valley, which has been curbed.

A virtual SIM card is a virtual SIM issued through a computer through a number. The service provider issues the number from abroad, which its user uses to load the mobile app of the service provider on their smartphone.
With this app, the number is linked to WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram or Twitter. It is very difficult to catch calls, messages and other types of communication through such medium. Several such virtual SIM cards have been reported to be active in the valley since the Pulwama attack was revealed in the investigation.
An official said that due to the new technology, the security agencies are facing difficulties in penetrating the network connected to it. There is also a possibility of disturbances in the process of issuing virtual SIM cards, due to which work is also being done to prevent its misuse.

Including the US, are continuing in many countries SIM cards

Most virtual sims are issued from the US, Canada, UK, Israel, Puerto Rico, Caribbean Islands. The details of the SIM used by the Suicide bomber who attacked Pulwama were sought from America.

During this process, the use of virtual SIM cards was revealed. Voice over Internet Protocol (ViIP) technology was also used in the 26/11 Mumbai attack. An Italian company had transferred 300 rupees in the name of Javed Iqbal, but the investigation revealed that Javed Iqbal was innocent, whose name was misused by the company.
