AJKPC president starts road blacktopping work

Excelsior CorrespondentJAMMU Apr 9: President of All Jammu Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) and Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Jindrah Anil Sharma on Thursday started blacktopping work of 10 km long Jindrah-Challar road constructed under PMGSY. The road will provide much-needed relief to dozens of villages from Khara Nakki Chringal Karal Nagola Chak Bhagani and Jib. Speaking on the occasion Sharma said the road was constructed six years back and is in bad shape since the last four years. Sharma expressed satisfaction over the cooperation from the officers of PMGSY wing on the directions of Lieutenant Governor. Omkar Singh Yashpal Sharma Naib Sarpanch Nagola Ramesh Chander Goverdhan Singh Parshotam Lal Karam Din Shafi Choudhary Sansar Chand Junaid Ali Sahil Sharma Bansi Lal and Puran Chand were also present on the occasion.

The road will provide much-needed relief to dozens of villages from Khara Nakki Chringal Karal Nagola Chak Bhagani and Jib. Speaking on the occasion Sharma said the road was constructed six years back and is in bad shape since the last four years. “It was a long pending demand of the locals who were suffering badly due to the dilapidated road” he maintained adding that the total cost of the project is Rs. 1.09 crore out of which nearly Rs 70 lakh would be spent on blacktopping while the remaining amount would be spend on retaining walls and drainage system. Sharma expressed satisfaction over the cooperation from the officers of PMGSY wing on the directions of Lieutenant Governor. Omkar Singh Yashpal Sharma Naib Sarpanch Nagola Ramesh Chander Goverdhan Singh Parshotam Lal Karam Din Shafi Choudhary Sansar Chand Junaid Ali Sahil Sharma Bansi Lal and Puran Chand were also present on the occasion.
