Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU May 7: Janipur Police arrested two notorious thieves and recovered 7 stolen vehicles and 15 iron plates from their possession. As per police sources a complaint was lodged by Bhawani Singh son of Tilak Raj of Rajouri at present Durga Nagar with Police Station Janipur regarding theft of his motorcycle bearing registration number JK11B-7239 which was parked outside medical shop near Aap Shambhu Morh. Acting over the complaint a case under FIR Number 51/2021 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started. During the course of investigation a special team from Police Station Janipur led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali and assisted by PSI Anil Kumar was constituted under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar. The special team after strenuous efforts and with the help of technical assistance arrested the thieves who were identified as Umar Mir son of Ghulam Hassan of Pul Doda District Doda at present Laxmi Puram Chinore District Jammu and Ankush Harkar son of Anil Harkar of Durga Nagar Bantalab District Jammu. During sustained questioning accused confessed their involvement in the above case and on their disclosure 15 iron plates and 7 stolen vehicles were recovered. Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft or any other cases.
