KOCHI: As fissure within Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes ( AMMA ) widened over the issues raised by Women in Cinema Collective (WCC), it is learnt that the leaders of the association have decided to convene an urgent executive committee meeting.AMMA president Mohanlal and general secretary Edavela Babu may hold discussions with executive committee members who will be present in Kochi on Friday. All issues, including Dileep's resignation letter, will be discussed.Sources said Mohanlal - who was shooting for a film - may arrive in Kochi on Thursday. "He may go abroad soon and a discussion on the recent developments will have to be held here without delay. Most executive members are away at shooting locations in different parts of the state and may not attend the meeting. Still, Mohanlal may hold discussions with those available in Kochi on Thursday and Friday," said sources in the film industry, adding that the leadership is keen on having an urgent meeting as the rift within AMMA is widening.AMMA's spokesperson Jagadish - who issued a statement on behalf of the organization on Monday - came out with statement that he had only stated the formal opinion of the organization after holding talks with president Mohanlal.
