The holy month of Adhik Maas is the month wherein devotes conduct various rituals and perform holy bath. To mark the end of Adhik maas, devotees were seen in large numbers taking the holy bath at the Panchganga river of Kolhapur. After the holy bath was done, they performed aarti of the Goddess of Ambabai at the temple situated near the river. A glee sight of local passer-by’s offering clothes and grains to the beggars at the temple marked the holy festival. A month dedicated to social activities and donations, citizens of Kolhapur had been doing this throughout the month.
