Valuables worth Rs 3 lakh stolen in 3 house-break ins

Valuables worth Rs 1.08 lakh, including gold jewellery and cash Rs 8,000, kept in the cupboard were stolen. The thieves stole valuables worth Rs 8,000, including a digital camera, and Rs 3,000 in cash from his house. He immediately rushed to the Juna Rajwada police station and a lodged complaint in this regard. A case has been registered with the Juna Rajwada police station. Over the past couple of days, suspects have decamped with valuables worth Rs 2.84 lakh in these house break-ins.Unidentified men broke open the house of Pandurang Tukaram Kale at Rukadi phata area in Atigre village and decamped with valuables worth Rs 1.68 lakh, including gold and silver jewellery, Rs 20,000 in cash and a mobile phone.Kale had gone out for some work on June 9 and found that his house was targeted by the thieves when he returned home next day. He later lodged complaint with Hatkanangle police station.Keraba Ramchandra Bidre, a 75-year-old resident of Sambhajinagar, Kolhapur , had gone to meet his relatives with his family on June 6. When he returned home on June 10, he found the door lock of his house broken.After entering the house, he found all material strewn on the floor. Valuables worth Rs 1.08 lakh, including gold jewellery and cash Rs 8,000, kept in the cupboard were stolen. He immediately rushed to the Juna Rajwada police station and a lodged complaint in this regard."We have registered a case against unidentified persons for trespass and theft under various sections of the Indian Penal Code ," said an officer with the Juna Rajwada police station.The officer said they are checking if there are any CCTV cameras installed on the route leading to Bidre's house and the suspects have been caught on camera.In another incident, the house of Prakash Parshuram Matade, a 64-year-old resident of Sane Guruji Vasahat, was broken into by unidentified men when Matade and his family were out of city. The thieves stole valuables worth Rs 8,000, including a digital camera, and Rs 3,000 in cash from his house. A case has been registered with the Juna Rajwada police station. tnn
