5 tourists killed as SUV falls into gorge

They had come to the Tillari picnic point and were returning after visiting the sun set at Laskhar point when the mishap occurred.The deceased have been identified as Mohan Laxman Redkar (40), Krishna Mukund Gawade (19), Yallappa N Patil (45), Pankaj alias Jyotirling Sampat Tewekar (30) and Nagendra Shidapa Babu Gawade (29).Police and disaster management teams have launched a rescue operation and recovered the bodies, said a Kolhapur district administration official.“Immediately after we got information about the incident, we rushed to the spot.
