Kolhapurkars sow seed balls over the weekend

The target is to sow 10000 seed balls this year. These seed balls were prepared by villagers and school children by using clay and manure. As a part of this initiative, around 5000 seed balls were sown by the member of Rotary Club of Kolhapur, Rotary Community Corps of Wakare and villagers of Patrewadi. Its aim is to have people participation in mass plantation and seed ball bombing in areas around us. The project will be supported by the Kolhapur forest department which will give technical guidance for this project.

Project named Aranya targets at creating forests which we have been losing over the time. Its aim is to have people participation in mass plantation and seed ball bombing in areas around us.
