Kolhapur: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the murder of CPI leader Govind Pansare who was killed in February 2015 is likely to file a supplementary charge sheet against four suspects in the district court on Monday.A senior police officer involved in the probe said, “We have started preparations to file supplementary charge sheet against the four suspects arrested recently in connection with the Pansare murder case on Monday. We have already filed charge sheet against accused Sameer Gaikwad and supplementary charge sheet against second accused Virendrasinh Tawade in court.”The SIT had arrested Amol Kale, Vasudev Suryavanshi, Bharat Kurne and Amit Degvekar in connection with the murder. Police have already named four accused including Gaikwad, Tawade and two absconding suspects in this case.The CBI and the state CID, probing the killings of Dr Narendra Dabholkar, who was killed in 2013 in Pune, and Pansare, stated in the Bombay High Court that the supplementary charge sheet in both cases will be filed by February 13.Dabholkar, founder of Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti (MANS) was shot by bike-borne assailants while he was on his daily morning walk in August 2013. Two years later, the rationalist Govind Pansare was attacked in similar fashion while returning home from a morning walk on February 15, 2015. He succumbed to his injuries five days later.
