Debate at Mahaveer College highlights the importance of women voters

The women students from the college were also of the opinion that women voters hold importance in a democracy, and their participation has to be supported and strengthened. Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Maharashtra Times held a debate at Mahaveer College , where students discussed ways to improve voting participation in the country. While some students were of the opinion that voting should be made compulsory in the country, others said the process should be taken online for a better turnout.
