E-Content workshop conducted at SUK to showcase its importance

Kolhapur: An e-content workshop was conducted at the campus of the Shivaji University, Kolhapur (SUK) recently. There should be e-content available for every course of the varsity that is out there for the distance education. It added that various projects were exhibited by the students of the college in the event. The meet was organized by the department of technology of the university, in association with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the central government. The content for this should be of a qualitative manner rather than quantitative.

Kolhapur: An e-content workshop was conducted at the campus of the Shivaji University, Kolhapur (SUK) recently. According to the officials from the varsity, this workshop was jointly organized by the centre for distance education and the Barrister Balasaheb Khardekar knowledge centre of the university.D T Shirke, pro-VC (Vice-Chancellor), Shivaji University Kolhapur said in his speech during the program, “With the changing times of today, we should endeavour to use more and more of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The content for this should be of a qualitative manner rather than quantitative. There should be e-content available for every course of the varsity that is out there for the distance education. This e-content is going to help us make distance education a part of the mainstream.”According to Shirke, the video-based e-content will help the distance education students more in the learning process.Innoviz at KIT College: The Kolhapur Institute of Technology (KIT), in association with Shivaji University Kolhapur, had organized an ‘Innoviz’ event earlier in the month of March, read a press statement from the college. It added that various projects were exhibited by the students of the college in the event. Around 90 students of the institute participated in the event, it added.Kirloskar -Toyota COO visits DKTE: Kenichiro Kambe, COO (Chief Operating Officer) of Kirloskar-Toyota, visited the Ichalkaranji-based DKTE Society’s Textile and Engineering Institute earlier last month for its annual gathering event called ‘Josh-2019’, read a press statement from the college.The statement added that, Kambe in his speech said, “With various innovative techniques and the availability of more than ample resources, the signing of memorandum of understandings (MoUs) are helping students create better opportunities for themselves.”He said that in the future, the Toyota loom should be started at Ichalkaranji, which will help in the expansion of business.Business meet conducted at SUK: A business meet called ‘Udyam Samagam’ was conducted at the Shivaji University, Kolhapur recently. The meet was organized by the department of technology of the university, in association with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the central government.
