Kolhapur: Panchganga crosses warning level

KOLHAPUR: The district administration has issued a red alert to 129 villages situated on the riverbanks to take precautions if a flood-like situation arises in the district.Continuous rain in the catchment area has resulted in rise of Panchganga water level crossing 2 inches above the warning level of 39 feet on Friday.The warning level is set at 39 feet and the danger level is 44 feet.
