BJP MLA Surendra Singh in Ballia lit a fresh controversy after he compared West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee with Lankini,  a demoness from Hindu epic Ramayana. Further, he further called Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav “Aurangzeb”.

The motormouth BJP lawmaker had attacked the TMC supremo over post-poll violence in West Bengal saying hundreds of people were killed in the state while Akhilesh was targeted because he replaced his father Mulayam Singh Yadav as Samajwadi Party president and removed his uncle, Shivpal Yadav, from party posts.

The BJP MLA claimed that Akhilesh follows the culture of Aurangzeb.

After usurping the throne from his father Shahjahan, Aurangzeb had imprisoned him in Agra.

After the post-poll violence in Bengal, Mamata Banerjee is under fire. Slamming the Mamata Banerjee government, the report accused it of subjecting “thousands of its citizens to murder, rape, displacement, and intimidation after the polls ended.
