more-in United Democratic Front (UDF) leaders in Kozhikode district have alleged that the CPI(M) leadership is making attempts to eliminate Kuttiyadi legislator and Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) leader Parakkal Abdulla in a similar fashion “the party had eliminated RMP leader T.P. Chandrasekharan at Onchiyam in May 2012”. Briefing the media here on Monday, they said that the statements of the Chief Minister and CPI(M) district leaders, which had similar tones, revealed the conspiracy. They added that the CPI(M) had raised allegations against Mr. Abdulla to divert attention from the violence unleashed by Left workers at Orkkatteri. This was because the MLA had raised the issue of attack by CPI(M) workers on the houses of RMP leaders, in the Assembly. The only fault of Abdulla was that he had defeated the wife of the CPI(M) district secretary in the Assembly elections in 2016, they added. The UDF leaders alleged that the CPI(M), with the support of the government machinery, was unleashing violence at Onchiyam, Chorode, Edacherry, and Orkkatteri in rural Kozhikode. The CPI(M)’s agenda is to destroy the RMP, they said.
