Tribal hamlets “When relief materials were heaped up in many urban flood-affected areas, many tribal hamlets were in utter poverty. When unaffected people were included in the beneficiary list, many those who had lost everything in the floods did not get any help, as they did not know how to ask for it,” he said, adding that the rights did not make sense when served out like alms. Writer and orator K.M. Anil and activist K. Jayasree too spoke on the occasion. A booklet for the flood-affected compiled by Vineesh Chandran was released by writer Khadeeja Mumtaz.
