Karat Abdul Gafoor, 46, brother of Koduvally MLA Karat Razak, was killed in a road accident at Thamarassery on Friday. Rafeeq and Haris, natives of Koduvally who sustained injuries, were admitted to a private hospital in the city. According to the police, the car in which Mr. Gafoor and two others were travelling collided with a lorry around 3.30 a.m. Gafoor succumbed to injuries on the spot.
