Sunshine brings relief, day temperature rises to normal

LUCKNOW: Weather conditions improved marginally on Saturday as the maximum temperature rose by a couple of degrees. MeT officials said that decline in moisture content in the air was responsible for low fog density. In fact, it was for the first time in the past 16 days that the day-time temperature did not dip below normal. The mercury dropped to 7.4 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal, in the wee hours.The fog density was less on Friday night in comparison to the last few days and sunshine since morning brought relief to people. The minimum temperature, however, continued to be below normal.

State MeT department said that weather will gradually improve in the coming days though fog and cold conditions will continue.The maximum temperature on Saturday was 20.8 degrees Celsius, which was normal as per MeT standards for this part of the year. In fact, it was for the first time in the past 16 days that the day-time temperature did not dip below normal. The minimum temperature, however, continued to be below normal. The mercury dropped to 7.4 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal, in the wee hours.The fog density was less on Friday night in comparison to the last few days and sunshine since morning brought relief to people.
