LUCKNOW: Celebrating the spirit of brotherhood, a unique Bada Mangal bhandara organised by a group of Hindu and Muslim advocates on Tuesday not just served the Bhandara prasad but also Eid delicacy - sewaiyaan, outside the Residency gates, setting an example of unity.Organised by the working committee members of the Central Bar Association of Lucknow Syed Mohammad Manzar and Ambika Singh, chief priestess of the Mankameshwar temple , Mahant Devyagiri also participated in the Bhandara. "Lucknow has been a symbol of Hindu-Muslim unity since centuries. It is our message to the society to follow the lead of the lawyer community that is tightly knit and come as close to one another and unified as are the lawyers with one another," said Mahant Devyagiri.An organizer of the bhandara, Saifi Mirza said, "It is in Lucknow that the tradition of Bada Mangal in the name of lord Hanuman was started when Begum Malika-e-Aaliya got the Aliganj Hanuman temple constructed.
