However, an hour later, Kamlesh accompanied by nearly a dozen women, armed with lathis and bricks, attacked the houses of Rizwan (42) and Chiraguddin (38). Both groups have lodged complaints with us and we will take action after proper investigation,” said Anand Prakash Mishra, in charge of Kankarkheda police station. The women from the two Muslim families also retaliated, police added.

Kamlesh (34), a resident of Sikke colony in Shobhapur, was passing by two under construction houses belonging to Chiraguddin and Rizwan when a brick fell in a nearby drain and the dirty water soiled her clothes. Following this, she had an argument with the two men, but the situation was brought under control when a few elderly people from the neighbourhood intervened, police said. However, an hour later, Kamlesh accompanied by nearly a dozen women, armed with lathis and bricks, attacked the houses of Rizwan (42) and Chiraguddin (38).
