UP 3 killed in Yamuna Expressway mishap

AGRA: The regional manager of Coca Cola was killed in a road accident along with his mother and niece on Yamuna Expressway , on Thursday.The accident occurred at around 1.30 pm near milestone 129 of Baldeo police jurisdiction of Mathura district. Identified as Mukesh Srivastava (45), the victim was heading the US beverage company unit in Jabalpur In the accident his mother Urmila Srivastava (70) and niece Ayushi (22) were also killed. The trio was heading Ghaziabad from their native village in Faizabad district.Speaking to TOI, SHO Suraj Parakash Sharma of Baldeo said, “The victims were traveling in their hatchback registered with Madhya Pradesh RTO. It took us half an hour to take the victims out the car. Their speeding car rammed into the divider and turned into a mangled metal junk.

At the time of the accident, Mukesh was driving the hatchback.”“After the accident all three bodies were sent for post-mortem,” he added.Meanwhile, Navbharat Times Ghaziabad bureau chief Sanjay Srivastava, who is a distant nephew of victim Mukesh Srivastava, said, “The trio were on their way to Ghaziabad for Mukesh’s daughter’s wedding which is on next Wednesday. The victims were carrying jewellery, dresses and other gifts for the wedding.”Baldeo police confirmed that all the belongings of the victims were safe and intact.By the time this report was filed, family members were preparing to take the body back to their native village in Faizabad.
