Man consumes poison after tiff with wife; dies

LUCKNOW: A 30-year old man committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance allegedly over a tiff with wife. SHO Indiranagar Amarnath Vishwakarma said he was an alcoholic and had a spat with his wife a day before. The family informed the police after which he was taken to Lohia Hospital where he died during treatment. "He used to fight a lot with his wife over petty issues. No suicide note was recovered," he added.

The incident was reported from Bhagwatipuram locality under Indiranagar police station area on Tuesday.The deceased, identified as Mukesh Kumar (30), was a property dealer and an addict to alcohol.According to the police, the incident came to light on Tuesday morning, when Mukesh, who was sleeping in another room, did not come out of his room when his wife Asha (26) knocked the door.As she moved further, she was shocked to see her husband lying in an unconscious state. The family informed the police after which he was taken to Lohia Hospital where he died during treatment. SHO Indiranagar Amarnath Vishwakarma said he was an alcoholic and had a spat with his wife a day before. "He used to fight a lot with his wife over petty issues. No suicide note was recovered," he added.
