Setting service standards to fuel growth of UP

Prabhat Kiran Chaurasia, Honorary Secretary, summed up the key points of the session and gave the Vote of Thanks to MA Khan, the key speaker and Dr Rajan Johri. The development of a country's services sector is an indicator of its economic development. The services sector in India comprises a wide range of activities, including trading, transportation, communication, financial, real estate and business services, and community, social and personal services. With the collective wisdom of experienced IEI Members and the expertise of volunteering professionals, it is possible to put Uttar Pradesh on the map of India as a leader in Service Professionals. Dr Johri said, “A better blend of Tehzeeb and Technology cannot be made in any other state except Uttar Pradesh.”All participants were unanimous in their view that the session led by Dr Rajan Johri was invigorating and they would like to be trained in Service Science.

Rajan Johri , Managing Partner of Lead?ynn, alumni of University of Lucknow and a Fellow of CIPD (UK), led a session at the Institution of Engineers (IEI), Lucknow on Mar 17, 2019 inviting its members to train themselves in Service Science as facilitators, developers, trainers and assessors of Service Science Standards.Over 60 participants were introduced to Service Science (BCCL)A gathering of over 60 participants presided by RK Trivedi, Chairman IEI , were introduced to Service Science. Er Deep Dhaon, MS, University of Utah (USA), Dr Alka Jain of IIT-Roorkee and Shri Alok Tandon, a senior BFSI expert reiterated that the motto ‘ Stand Up and Start Up’ given by the PM Narendra Modi needs to be put into practice as ‘Stand Up, Start Up and Serve’.Prabhat Kiran Chaurasia and several other senior members agreed that there is a need to develop and refine the vast talent that Uttar Pradesh holds. With the collective wisdom of experienced IEI Members and the expertise of volunteering professionals, it is possible to put Uttar Pradesh on the map of India as a leader in Service Professionals.
