Lucknow: CRPF constable seeks euthanasia

Balram Verma (40) is a constable in CRPF and attached to CRPF DG office in New Delhi. A middle path will be sought ," said the DM.He also said that after the enquiry was given to SDM, Verma has also withdrawn his demand of euthanasia. He told that he would seek an active euthanasia for his family if he does not get back his land by March 31.Balram wept talking to TOI. "Documents of lands belonging to both parties are being checked again and justice to Verma will done.

Balram Verma (40) is a constable in CRPF and attached to CRPF DG office in New Delhi. He is a native of Katiyamaan village in Kacchauna police station area.Verma in a letter to President has alleged that a former Additional District Magistrate Shripal had usurped a part of his land in the same village but the police and the Lekhpal were not helping him rather harrasing his family members. He told that he would seek an active euthanasia for his family if he does not get back his land by March 31.Balram wept talking to TOI. He told that sub inspector Mahendra Singh of the local police station was harrasing him and has also lodged fake case of trespassing against him.Verma also said that the local administration is acting on the behest of the retired bureaucrat. "My brother Balkishore has also been booked by police on fake charges," he alleged.However, District Magistrate Hardoi, Pulkit Khare told TOI that after the letter of Verma seeking euthanasia reached to us he got to know about the case and directed Sub divisional magistrate Sandila to prove Verma's case.Preliminary enquiry has revealed that a piece of land was purchased by Verma in 2016 belonging to illiterate villagers and later on that land he started a Dhaba and also rented a part of it for a shop.In 2017, Shripal also purchased a land there and started a construction which came in front of Verma's Dhaba and became a bone of contention between the two, added Khare.Later, the local police was roped in by Verma but because complete documents were with Shripal no action could be taken, added Khare."Documents of lands belonging to both parties are being checked again and justice to Verma will done. A middle path will be sought ," said the DM.He also said that after the enquiry was given to SDM, Verma has also withdrawn his demand of euthanasia.
