Two boys, 15 and 12, injured in firecracker factory blast dead

Lucknow: Two boys, Manish Kumar (15) and Saurabh (12), on Thursday succumbed to their injuries sustained in a firecracker factory blast in Rae Bareli on November 11.Two other children who were also injured in the incident are currently stable. Police have filed a case against the owner of the firecracker unit for negligence.Sareni station house officer (SHO) Sanjay Kumar said that a blast was reported in Malke village on the evening of November 11.A team rushed to the scene and discovered that Nasreen Mustafa, a woman, had stockpiled crackers and employed several children who had sustained burns, he said.Kumar stated that four children, Manish, Govind, Shazia, and Saurabh, were injured, of which Manish and Saurabh were in a critical condition and were admitted to the district hospital.Kumar added that preliminary investigations revealed that the children were illegally employed to fill raw materials into flowerpot (anar) crackers, which accidentally came into contact with fire, resulting in the blast.An FIR has been registered under relevant charges, and now that two have died, additional charges under Indian Penal Code will be added to the existing FIR, the SHO added.Rae Bareli superintendent of police Alok Priyadarshi stated that extensive raids were conducted by the police in collaboration with LIU, and no further incidents have been reported in the district since the November 11 blast.Those responsible for the blast will not be spared, and the law will take its course, he said.We also published the following articles recentlyMysterious blast rocks Shiva Temple in Jammu-Kashmirs Poonch district; no injuries reportedA mysterious blast near a Shiva temple in Surankote town in Jammu-Kashmir caused panic in Poonch district.
