In orgn rejig, BJP appoints in-charges for 6 regions of UP

Lucknow: The UP BJP on Monday affected a fresh organisational rejig, deputing senior party leaders, primarily state general secretaries and vice-presidents, as in charge of the six regions in the state.While state general secretary and party MLC Subhash Yaduvansh has been made in charge of the west UP region, state vice-president Santosh Singh has been deputed in Braj region. Likewise, state general secretary Anup Gupta, who was earlier looking after the Braj region, was made in charge of Kanpur-Bundelkhand region. Similarly, state general secretaries Sanjay Rai, Amarpal Maurya and Govind Narayan Shukla will look after the Awadh, Kashi and Gorakhpur region. Maurya was earlier in charge of the Awadh region.The decisions were taken after UP BJP chief Bhupendra Chaudhary and state general secretary (organisation) Dharam Pal Singh held a meeting with district presidents. The state leadership also reshuffled the in charge of various Morchas and some of the 98 organisational districts. UP BJP state vice-president Pankaj Singh was appointed as in charge of state Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha, while state general secretary Ram Pratap Singh has been made in charge of OBC Morcha. State general secretary Priyanka Rawat has been made in charge of SC Morcha, while state VP Dinesh Kumar Sharma and Braj Bahadur have been appointed as in charge of Kisan Morcha and ST Morcha, respectively. Later, speaking to media, Chaudhary said, The party was making all due changes in accordance with its resolve to win all 80 Lok Sabha seats in 2024 LS elections, he said.The development comes less than two months after BJP changed 69 out of 98 organisational district presidents. The measures include the installation of CCTV cameras and the use of aerial drones for surveillance. Deputy Commissioners have been instructed to establish control rooms for monitoring illegal mining, and the Forest Department will focus on preserving existing plantations and undertaking further efforts. Coordination between the police and district administration is emphasized, along with the strengthening of the e-rawana system.
