3 crushed to death by bus in Bulandshahr

In a tragic incident, a bus carrying wedding guests crushed five people standing at the roadside, killing three of them and critically injuring two others, in Bulandshahr on Wednesday night. The police arrested the bus driver and also seized the vehicle. Reports said that a bus was carrying a marriage party from Pahasu to a farm house located at Kamauna in Chhatari area of Bulandshahr on Wednesday night. As the bus was going at a high speed, it crushed five people standing at road side. Some passersby immediately informed the police about the accident. A police team reached the spot and took the injured to the local hospital where three of them were pronounced dead. All five victims belong to Dalit community. Superintendent of Police (Dehat) Rohit Mishra said that among the deceased were Vinod (38), Ashok (38) and Rinku (26). He said the injured were identified as Arvind and Badal. In another road mishap, a car having DJ ran over a youth having breakfast in a wedding ceremony in Firozabad on Wednesday evening. The incident took place in Nagla Himmat village under f Khairgarh police station. The marriage procession had come in Nagla Tula under Dannahar police station of Mainpuri district. After the wedding procession started, the guests started having breakfast. At the same time, the driver of a Max vehicle which took the DJ to the wedding, lost control. The vehicle ran over 19-year-old Upadesh, who was in the wedding procession. The incident created an outcry among the guests. The victim was rushed to hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. In Bijnor, a truck and a bus of Modern Era Public School, Bijnor collided head-on. While the bus driver died on the spot, 20 children were injured. Hearing the screams of the children, farmers working in the fields and passers-by rescued them and rushed them to the district hospital. The condition of three children was stated to be critical. On Thursday morning, the bus of Modern Era Public School at Mandawar was going to school with 40 children. A trolley was parked at a sugarcane purchasing centre near Ranipur village on Chandak Road in Mandawar. The bus driver failed to see a truck due to dense fog and as he crossed the trolley, the bus collided with the truck. The bus driver died on the spot. He was identified as Manoj of Jhal village under Nangalsoti police station of Bijnor. District Magistrate Ankit Aggarwal and Superintendent of Police Neeraj Kumar Jadaun reached the district hospital and talked to the children. The truck driver was arrested.
