Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri laid out ambitious plans for Uttar Pradeshs renewable energy landscape, announcing the establishment of 100 compressed biogas (CBG) plants in the state in the near future. Addressing a gathering at the inauguration of Indian Oils CBG plant in Dhuriyapar, Puri hailed the initiative as a significant stride towards environmental sustainability, agricultural prosperity and energy independence. Puri lauded Chief Minister Yogi Adityanaths Green Hydrogen policy, recognising its potential for accelerating environmental conservation efforts. He announced forthcoming investments in this sector, including plans to establish a green hydrogen plant in Sonbhadra, the district he has adopted. Extolling the stewardship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Puri emphasised Uttar Pradeshs trajectory towards becoming a trillion-dollar economy under his leadership. He underscored the pivotal role of the states progress in propelling India towards the goal of a five-trillion-dollar economy. Puri also commended the swift implementation of Central government schemes in Uttar Pradesh, facilitated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanaths effective governance. The announcement signals a strategic shift towards renewable energy sources in Uttar Pradesh, aligning with broader national objectives of sustainability and economic growth.
