The Uttar Pradesh government is making efforts to bring development to smaller districts, integrating them into the vision for a trillion-dollar economy by expanding cities under Master Plan 31. As part of this, the Khurja Industrial Township has been launched in Bulandshahr, just 18 km from Jewar Airport, with registrations beginning on November 11. This initiative will elevate Bulandshahrs ODOP products to global markets and open new opportunities for entrepreneurs. The 80-acre township, developed at a cost of Rs 430 crore, will provide entrepreneurs with modern amenities such as warehouses, workshops, community centres, nursing homes, day-care facilities, weighing machines, and boarding lodges. This project is expected to yield over Rs 25 crore in revenue for the authority. A few months ago, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath approved the Bulandshahr-Khurja Master Plan 31, setting the stage for the expansion of Bulandshahr. In line with his vision, the 80-acre Hi-Tech Khurja Industrial Township has been launched just 18 kilometres from Jewar International Airport, aimed at supporting large and small entrepreneurs, especially those involved in ODOP products. Vice-Chairman of Bulandshahr Khurja Development Authority Dr Ankur Lathar confirmed the projects launch and highlighted its strategic location on the Delhi-Aligarh GT Road, just 18 kilometres from Jewar Airport. The township includes 82 industrial plots ranging from 500 to 3,500 square metres, priced at Rs 20,000 per square metre, along with nine warehouse plots of 5,000 square metres each, and 12 commercial plots ranging from 300 to 2,500 square metres at Rs 40,000 per square metre. Designed to meet the needs of entrepreneurs, the township offers a range of advanced facilities, including a 700-square-metre workshop, an 1,800-square-metre community centre, an 850-square-metre boarding lodge, an 800-square-metre nursing home, an 850-square-metre weighing station, and a 600-square-metre day-care centre. Other essential services such as an electric substation, police post, sanitation facilities, STP, fire station, and a waste management centre will also be available, along with a 1,200-square-metre green belt for environmental sustainability. Registration for entrepreneurs interested opens on November 11 and will continue until November 30. Ten per cent of the plots have been reserved for ODOP entrepreneurs from Bulandshahr (producing electric insulators, pottery, and sugar) and for women entrepreneurs.
