While the schedule for UPCC president Raj Babbar is ready, final touches are being given to travel plans of All india Congress Committee in-charge for UP Ghulam Nabi Azad and senior leader Pramod Tewari.Sources in the Gujarat campaign committee shared that the three leaders may join Rahul by the weekend. "They would be sharing the experience from UP which has seen BJP both at central and state levels. At the same time, the leaders would gather first hand wisdom on the much touted Gujarat model of governance so that it can be exposed in UP which is going for urban local bodies poll," said one of them.Talking to TOI Babbar said: "the so called Gujarat model of development is one of the many lies the BJP glorified. People of Gujarat have fallen prey to this farce and are paying the price of it everyday. We are going to lend an ear to their plight and share their pain. Besides, we would tell them that they are not the only victims of the lies."He added that he would refer to examples from UP such as death of children in BRD Medical College and the treatment given to female students at Banaras Hindu University, to explain that that they are not the only sufferers.Stating that 'Gujarat model of development has benefitted a selected few, senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Pramod Tewari said: "We can tell people in Gujarat that a ripple effect of the plight was affecting people in UP too and BJP is to be blamed for it. While Modi government formulated and rolled out a faulty model of GST which led to closure of industries and rendered labourers from UP jobless, the Yogi government failed to provide them an alternative employment."
