Two BMC officials booked for molesting RTI 'activist'

The two BMC officials also complained to the police that the RTI 'activist' manhandled the officials and created ruckus.
On Wednesday, BMC officials from Ghatkopar protested outside the police station and demanded the complaint be taken back by the police.
The Pantnagar police have registered a case of molestation against two Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials after which a Right To Information 'activist' complained to the police.
"We are probing the claims of both the parties and after registering the cross complaint, we registered the case and we are investigating further.
"After the BMC officials filed the complained, the woman alleged that she was molested inside the BMC office and we registered a case under sections 354(molestation), 506(criminal intimidation) and 509(word, gesture act intended to outrage the modesty of women) of the Indian Penal Code.
