Mumbai teen attacked for 'stalking' girl

Angered with the alleged stalking of their sister on WhatsApp, two youths attacked a college student in Dombivali. “For the last one and a half months, Teli was allegedly stocking Hudgi’s sister on Whatsapp. The girl complained to Hudgi about Teli. They then made Teli sit on their bike and drove for about half a kilometre before dumping him by the road. On Thursday he saw Teli’s chat messages to his sister and decided to teach Teli a lesson,” a police officer said.

Angered with the alleged stalking of their sister on WhatsApp, two youths attacked a college student in Dombivali. The police have arrested both of them. The accused were produced in Kalyan court on Friday. On February 16, Mandar Mohan Teli, 18, a student of KR Kotkar Junior College, Dombivli East, was attacked by Pravin Hudgi, 21 and his minor brother (name withheld), in Dombivali. “For the last one and a half months, Teli was allegedly stocking Hudgi’s sister on Whatsapp. The girl complained to Hudgi about Teli. On Thursday he saw Teli’s chat messages to his sister and decided to teach Teli a lesson,” a police officer said. The three know each other as they are neighbours. On Friday around 7.10 pm, when Teli was walking near a garden, the accused accosted him and stabbed him on his back and stomach. They then made Teli sit on their bike and drove for about half a kilometre before dumping him by the road. Teli was hospitalised.
