Forest fire in Thane

A massive forest fire raged near Ghodbunder Road in Thane on Tuesday evening. The Thane Fire Brigade received a call informing them about the fire at 9.30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fire officials said the fire spread up to Bhayander Pada near Gaimukh Temple on Ghodbunder Road. The fire brigade sent one fire engine and a rescue van to the spot from Balkum fire station. The firefighters said they could not douse the fire earlier as the spot where the fire sparked off could not be accessed by road.

The firefighters said they could not douse the fire earlier as the spot where the fire sparked off could not be accessed by road.
