Two stories published by The Hindu have won the prestigious Laadli Media and Advertising Awards for Gender Sensitivity, 2017. Independent journalist Puja Changoiwala’s report on Maharashtra’s Manodhairya Yojana, meant to provide immediate relief to victims of sexual assault but which has been hampered by sub-par implementation got her the award. Sharada, director of Population First said. “They are role models for many aspiring journalists and media persons. We honour them with pride” she added.
