BMC urges citizens to do scientific pruning of trees

Total 1077 instances of branch falling reported from June to September 2018, out of 706 branches were from private premises trees. Even most of the tree branch falling incidents reported from the private premises. The BMC has already started tree pruning in their area as 1,85,333 trees are along the roadside. "The BMC provides tree pruning service but many housing societies do not take BMC's help to avoid charges. Six people lost lives last year, out of which three incidents happened due to trees on private land.
