After Moon, ISRO to leave its footprints in Mumbai

To popularise space science and Astronomy in school students and the public at large, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in collaboration with SIES High School in Matunga will conduct a space exhibition from September 18 to 20. ISRO has also realised the importance of educating the future generation. Students who once aspired to go to NASA wants to be a part of ISRO after Chandrayaan 2." The event will also conduct interactive sessions with scientists on space-related topics. The 3-day event will be organised on the school premises from 9 am to 5 pm.

To popularise space science and Astronomy in school students and the public at large, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in collaboration with SIES High School in Matunga will conduct a space exhibition from September 18 to 20. The scientists will also work towards igniting students' interest in the emerging areas of space technology and give them an insight into the launching of Chandrayaan 1 and 2. Following an exhibition at the Nehru Science Centre at Worli which will conclude on Tuesday, it will move to SIES School, Matunga on Wednesday which will be attended by ISRO scientists along with their scaled-down models of rockets, static panels, launch vehicles, satellites, covering information themes like ISRO TimeLine, Earth Observation Satellites, Human Space Program and much more. The Aim The exhibition will be conducted at SIES High School in Matunga from September 18 to 20 The aim is to ignite students’ interest in the emerging areas of space technology. Speaking about the event, headmistress of SIES School Kalyani Arumugam said, "Our aim is to sensitize the crowd about the efforts put in by our scientists who have spent sleepless nights to explore the universe and leave a footprint out there. They will also know how focused they are about the betterment of our nation. ISRO has also realised the importance of educating the future generation. Students who once aspired to go to NASA wants to be a part of ISRO after Chandrayaan 2." Around 45,000 people have registered for the event, added Arumugam. The event will also conduct interactive sessions with scientists on space-related topics. The 3-day event will be organised on the school premises from 9 am to 5 pm.
