That Is How An Actor Fails, And A Star Is Born

It has struck very deep, the words in few television channels with a hashtag  WhoLedSushantToEnd !   Before that the nightmare began when the news came that Sushant had committed suicide. Which abandoned a shock over a searing end of a stirring love story the young actor had weaved few years back with the Bollywood.

It happened when the young man from Patna came to Bollywood and started nurturing hopes for the future. Soon the hopes saturated into dreams and it is a bitter truth that, dreams often get shattered when people we think capable of helping one, go back on their words or create an atmosphere which sucks out the remaining relevance of life.

Denial is less malignant than an attitude to become cold towards someone’s plights and such hopelessness turns to a misery like the one Sushant was in.

Or it is equally worse when the resourceful ones let someone hung by hopes but never mean it for unknown reasons or they just become victims of politically charged touch stones.

‘Who’ Sushant! a jibe coming from a school dropout woman and mediocre actor in a realty show, was not only in low taste but, perhaps, it was an intended perniciousness to demean a person who was a colleague at least,  if not one from the brigade of mediocrity she is known for.

That was like prodding the wounds of someone who had been pushed to the fence for over 4 years. A situation that really singes an individual when many such factors come into play.

What is really dangerous is the word called ‘super star’ or star tagged to someone who manages to be there through various  self aggrandizements they are known for, and third-rate films are sold out before being on the floors even.

Of course the media has somehow become a part of this bandwagon by creating deceptions which usually play like an advantageous  asset for the films.

Even when Satrughna Sinha came to Bollywood he too faced  such times when he was made to believe that, he was an outsider and better pander to certain whims to remain in the industry.

But, known for his grits, he decided to take on the detractors head-on and he did it.

The superstars of the day know that they are not like the great actors of earlier times when acting meant to be the driving force behind a film. Now things have changed and the fitness-freak stars know if they do not remain on the crest of a PR graph, soon they can be like the relics to go under a hammer of rejection.

That is where an actor fails. As  did Sushant Singh Rajput.
