Lockdown extended till Feb 28 in all contentment zones across Mumbai

The Maharashtra state government extended the coronavirus induced lockdown till February 28.

However, all the activities permitted under the `Begin Again` mission will be continued. Under `Begin Again`, the state government will reopen activities in a phased manner.

The lockdown in the state has completed over nine months.

According to the notification issued by the chief secretary, Sanjay Kumar said that since the state of Maharashtra is threatened with the spread of the COVID-19 virus it is expedient to extend the lockdown in the entire state till midnight of February 28.
