Possibility of another lockdown in Mumbai soon: Mayor

On Tuesday, Mumbai mayor Kishori Pednekar said that the Maharashtra state government may have to think of a second lockdown amidst the rising COVID cases in the city once again.

On Tuesday, Mumbai mayor Kishori Pednekar said that the Maharashtra state government may have to think of a second lockdown amidst the rising COVID cases in the city once again.

"It is important that citizens wear a mask, maintain social distance, and use sanitizers," she said.

Pednekar said that in Mumbai the rising Covid-19 cases is a matter of concern and the chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar and health minister Rajesh Tope are already reviewing the situation.
