Mumbai Colleges to reopen from October 20: Guidelines issued by BMC

1.       Classes would be filled only up to 50% capacity at a time.

2.       As of now, it is advisable to only allow fully vaccinated students to come back to campus for offline classes. However, when it comes to students who are below 18, this rule will not apply.

3.       In case students are still unvaccinated but want to come for offline classes, it is the responsibility of college Principal to contact the nearest ward office and set up a special camp for vaccination in college premises.

4.       Attendance has not been made mandatory yet and students can opt to continue online classes.

5.       Teaching would be done in blended mode i.e., both online and offline.
Mumbai Colleges will be reopening initially for PG students. Even though there are no specific rules in place for that, most colleges plan on calling back PG students first and continue this reopening in phases. Detailed guidelines on reopening of hostels in the city will also be released soon.
