A majority of the students come from villages, and they cannot afford to commute in autorickshaws till the bus stand. We have to walk till Paduvarahalli bus stand or Vontikoppal, which is 1km away, to catch buses. “So we demand more buses so students can travel without difficulty,” she said.After the students demanded better transport facility, the college principal Anne Gowda wrote a letter to KSRTC authorities to deploy more buses. “I have already written letter to KSRTC, demanding additional buses during morning and evening hours to ferry our students. It was inaugurated by then chief minister Siddaramaiah.Around 3,500 students have been admitted to various courses this academic year, which began on June 18.“Only one KSRTC bus , which plies from the city bus stand to Kumbar Koppal, halts near the college.
