Campaign workers are also supposed to enter their findings online. To test and diagnose tuberculosis, the department has deployed 1,270 teams which will visit 50 households every day. The suspected individual will be sent to the respective primary health centre for further treatment, she added.In Shivamogga, health workers will visit an estimated 48 000 houses in July. Each team will visit these households, create awareness on TB and impart information about symptoms of tuberculosis like prolonged and persistent cough, she stated.During the campaign, workers will identify presumptive signs of TB. Each team comprises an officer/staff from the department of health and family welfare or workers form NGOs accompanied by ASHA workers (Accredited Social Health Activists).
