Mysuru gram panchayat member murdered over extramarital affair

MYSURU: Armed assailants allegedly murdered a gram panchayat member in Hunsur on Wednesday.Nagaraj (34), the Karimuddenahalli panchayat member , died an hour after he was attacked inside his shop. Though Nagaraj, the son of Someshgowda, was shifted to a hospital in Mysuru , succumbed to his injuries an hour later. Relatives and known persons of the woman are said to be involved in the attack.An officer said we have to first identify his assailants and then we may get a clear picture. The gang assaulted him at around 11.30 am and fled the spot.Nagaraj was profusely bleeding but was in a state of consciousness when he was taken to the hospital.Bilikere police, according to Nagaraj's family members, said that Nagaraj was having an affair with a married woman and probably this could be the reason behind the attack.
