MYSURU: In a huge relief to thousands of students, the state government directed the department of public instruction (DPI) to put on hold the annual transfer process of primary, secondary and high school teachers till the next order.According to sources, the order was issued following complaints from parents and students that transfer of teachers in the middle of the academic year creates a lot of problems for them. The decision was taken on Sunday, following large scale complaints from teachers, academicians and the student fraternity, over the abnormal delay.An officer from the DPI told TOI that as of now, there is no clarity on when the transfer process will be resumed.
