MYSURU: Various organisations, including farmers and likeminded people, came together to oppose the proposed Disneyland-like project and illegal mining at Krishna Raja Sagara Reservoir.They decided that awareness about adverse effects will be felt in all villages and assured they would get a resolution to oppose the project at local gram panchayats.At a meeting in the Agricultural Marketing Institute here on Saturday, they expressed anguish at government plan to spend Rs 2,000 crore to build a Disneyland-like amusement park on 400 acres at KRS dam.
